Big Blue Tech: Getting Here

Bangkok Airways Plane

Koh Tao is a small island on the south east side of Thailand. Koh Tao is one of 3 islands in the region called Koh Samui and Koh Phangan.

Train: The closest train destination is Chumphorn trainstation, from there you can take a 2 hours ferry to Koh Tao. Trains run daily from Bangkok and Malaysia to Chumphon.

Bus: Mini Busses, VIP Busses and Super VIP Busses are not the same as you imagine them back home. Think twice before choosing that method of travel. However you can get to Chumpon easily from any major city in Thailand.

Plane: The closest airport to Koh Tao is either on Koh Samui called the "Samui International Airport" or the airport on Suratthani "Surat Airport". From both destinations it's about a 2 hour ride to Koh Tao.

Boat: There are boats arriving and departing Koh Tao all the time, night and day. The more popular ones are Seatran and Lomprayah day ferries. Be aware that the months of October - January the ride might be rough and you should take sea sickness tablets.
