Technical Instructor Training

SSI XR

Just as the recreational diving market has seen the emergence of SSI (Scuba Schools International) grow to be a major force in the past few years, Technical Diving may well be about to witness the same in the coming years. A strong program based entirely around app-based learning means that SSI XR is more than ready to hold it’s own and that growth in the recreational market means plenty of SSI Dive schools offering employment opportunities for the SSI XR Instructor.

Whilst you will see single courses offered, in general, I dislike these for the initial Instructor Training with SSI XR or any agency really just as you might have read above. Being able to teach Twinset and Sidemount is a must and then with SSI XR the Extended Range Instructor rating also allows you to teach SSI XR Nitrox and XR Foundations but you must be an XE Sidemount Instructor to teach any student in Sidemount.

If you would like to see the SSI XR standards for the Instructor courses then please check out them below
