Technical Divers International
Or more affectionally referred to as TDI are synonymous with Technical Diving and as such if you are looking to become a Technical Diver then this will be one of the first options you look at. That’s important if you’re considering becoming a Technical Instructor because if the agency you’re planning on teaching for has a good presence in the market then so do you! Independent or facility-based a TDI Instructor has a great opportunity to grow and find employment in Diving.

Whilst you will see single courses offered, in general, I dislike these for the initial Instructor Training with TDI or any agency really. When you’re starting, some basics tie everything together and for instance, Adv Nitrox Instructor makes little sense without Decompression Procedures Instructor because the courses are typically taught together. Also, you won’t see a TDI Instructor course offered here that is shorter than a student course, partly because I offer all instructor candidates the chance to team-teach and because it makes sense that an Instructor course should be at least the same length.

- Sidemount Instructor
- Minimum certification of TDI Adv Nitrox and Deco Procedures Diver or equivalent
- Provide proof of 150 logged dives
- Have certified 10 Advanced Adventure Divers or equivalent
- Have certified 10 NItrox Student Divers or equivalent
